Design

Considering the Blackview BV8000 Pro smartphone, the review will begin the description with the appearance. The device looks brutal, which is not surprising for protected models. The materials from which the case is made are plastic, metal, rubberized plastic. Rubber pads protect the case from impacts, metal edging and inserts, shiny stainless steel bolts – all this is not only a way to attract attention, but also real details that make the smartphone as dust and moisture resistant as possible.

The device can be submerged in clean water up to 3 m deep. The lid has a corrugated surface. This improves reliability in use. The phone will not slip even from wet hands. The cover of the Blackview BV 8000 Pro smartphone is fixed with four metal bolts, one in each corner. The main camera unit with flash is located at the top, it is protected by a metal plate.

Under the plate there are 2 slots for SIM cards and another one for a memory card. Speaker holes are visible at the bottom of the cover. It is also protected from water and dust. The headphone jack is located on the top end. It does not have a plug from moisture and dust, but they do not get there due to the use of a special Capless technology. At maximum screen brightness, it is convenient to view the contents of the screen in direct sunlight. At maximum settings, you can read in a dark room without straining your eyes.

The brightness is adjusted automatically using information from the light sensor on the screen. You can adjust it manually. The screen is covered with a 2.5D protective glass with an oleophobic coating. It has a protective film on it from the factory.

Specifications and performance

Changed Android skin for use in Blackview BV8000 Pro smartphone. This manifested itself in the appearance of icons, the addition of some applications and features. One of them is Outdoor Toolbox. It contains a flashlight, compass, heart rate monitor, level and many other useful devices.

The SOS button is customizable for use by the owner. It allows you to send a message asking for help to a pre-specified number. Unfortunately, the shell still has the same problem that users encountered in the Blackview BV7000 Pro model. Some menu items forgot to be translated into Russian. But there is no Chinese here.

In the Smart Assistant settings section, you can control your smartphone using gestures. This is waking up with swipes and taps, taking a screenshot with three fingers, Flipping the phone can pause or disable the application. Memory cleanup happens in the background.

Despite the presence of NFC, Blackview BV8000 Pro smartphone does not support Android Pay. The memory capacity of the smartphone is more than sufficient. If desired, it can be increased using a memory card up to 256 GB.

The power of the chipset is enough to run almost all modern games. But the processor is not the most powerful at the moment. The phone is not designed for gaming. Most often it is used to work with maps. With this task, the BV8000 Pro copes perfectly. In work and tests, the device does not overheat.

Cameras

Blackview BV8000 Pro is equipped with two cameras. The main one with the SAMSUNG S5K3P3 module and f/2.0 aperture has a resolution of 16 megapixels. It takes good pictures in good light.

Autonomy

Blackview BV7000 Pro had a weak battery. In the new model, the battery capacity is increased and is 4180 mAh. Without the inclusion of a variety of energy saving modes, the smartphone works on a single charge for a day, even with active use. If you use these modes, the phone will last up to 4 days.
